Moreover, Yanni Hufnagel remains the assistant coach of the Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball team. Prior to assuming the position of assistant coach, Yanni served as an assistant at numerous college teams. To name a few, this includes the California Fogle Bears, the Harvard Crimson and so forth. Due to such experience, Yanni Hufnagel remains one of the premier recruiters in college basketball.

 

As a New York native, Yanni Hufnagel came from humble beginnings. Surprisingly, Yanni did not make his high school’s varsity basketball team. At a young age, Yanni Hufnagel channeled his coaching abilities. Therefore, he assumed the position as a commentator for his school’s team. Moreover, Yanni Hufnagel excelled academically. While at Cornell University, Yanni acquired his Bachelor’s degree. Shortly after, Yanni served as an assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma. In fact, the ascension of Blake Griffin remains attributed to Yanni’s efforts.

 

With someone possessing the credentials of Yanni Hufnagel, it remains easy to see why he has received numerous awards and accolades. In fact, CBS Sports acknowledged him for his exceptional ability to recruit. While at Harvard, he helped Jeremy Lin and Wesley Saunders hone their skills.
