Especially since we are attempting to rebuild not just externals but
souls
and lives, a major need is for workers. If you are retired or able to get away from work for
a time, please consider helping this ministry with traveling, logistics arrangements. If you
have the time and desire to set aside days or weeks to help meet the spiritual, physical, and
emotional needs of these refugees, you have assets invaluable to this ministry.
Hospitality
It can be a hard thing to open one's home to a stranger, but that is,
essentially, what we're asking you to do. Are you willing to house and feed these people?
Christ reminded us that when we feed someone who is hungry, when we take in a stranger, we
are showing hospitality, ultimately, to
Him. We are, to a degree, able to do for these
people what Christ did for the afflicted when He was on Earth. Whether you live near
Rockford, Illinois, or not, if you are willing to share your home for an indefinite amount

Supplies and services
Gas cards,
work tools, air mattresses, linens, hygiene items, Gospel literature, and many other
supply items
have become necessary as teams try to help people in need.
Transportation is a constant request, especially considering fuel costs. Soon, we will try to post a list of more urgently needed items.

Again, we are a small congregation. We live
more than 1,000 miles away from the people we seek to help. Perhaps you have been looking for effective ways to demonstrate compassion; please consider supporting our endeavors.
