Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer and Grupo RBS

Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer was born on May 13, 1972, in the city of Porto Alegre in Brazil. He was the grandson of Mauricio Sirotsky Sobrinho. He got his initial higher education from the PUCRS. He was always interested in business and other similar ventures. This is why he chose to get a degree in business administration. He further continued this venture of business education when he got an MBA from Harvard University. Once he was done with his MBA, he started off his career back in Brazil b working in the financial markets. This is where is fully understood how different dynamics of the business markets work. This learning stage was crucial for him, as it would help him in the accumulation of a high level of business acumen which he would need at the later stages of his career. He was also very interested in the field of media and wanted to be a part of it. His wish was fulfilled when he was hired by the famous Grupo RBS in 2004 as the CEO of the local market of Brazil. The results he bore worked wonders for the company and as a result, he rapidly made his way through the ranks to reach the absolute top of the company. He is currently the chairman as well as the president of the same company.

Not only this, but he is also the owner of the Grupo RBS business group. He is also known for his ventures in the area of venture capital investments and private equity investments. These investments have been made in the area of Brazil as well as over the borders in other countries. Apart from his ventures in the media industry of Brazil, he has also been a part of the media industry in the USA. He played a role there in the form of a CEO of the Box Top media. Hence, it will not be a stretch to say that he has a wide level of expertise when it comes to different business markets. For his exceptional performance in the various business markets, he has been awarded multiple awards as well such as the merit award.
